Early French Bisque Head Lady Doll with Wardrobe, c. 1870, dark blue stationary eyes, closed mouth, unpierced ears, cup and saucer neck, original light blonde braided mohair wig, kid body with ball jointed knees, bisque lower arms from elbow (left with old damage, age separation on right hand by thumb), retains red leatherette trunk with tray and a variety of clothing including cream colored dress with green trim, black silk jacket, black and gray striped silk princess dress, pink cotton skirt, purple wool bodice with black and white trim, skirts, jacket undergarments, rubberized overshoes, hair accessories and jewelry, etc.; original high button leather boots, doll ht. 18 in. Provenance: A copy of the lot illustration and description from a May 1983 auction at which the doll was purchased by Maurine is included.
