Two European Family Portraits, early 19th century, comprising an English portrait of a gentleman, painted on board, reverse stenciled "A. Capen, Stoughton," framed, and a Continental portrait of a lady and gentleman, on artist's board, framed, sight 11 x 8 5/8, and 11 3/8 x 9 1/2 in. respectively. Condition: Portrait on board with shrinkage crack and surface grime; portrait on artist board with old surface loss under varnish, varnish toned; very light craquelure.
