European Silver-gilt Amethyst and Pearl Set Trinket Box, possibly Turkey, bearing French import mark, late 19th/early 20th century, ovoid, body engraved with navettes, set with raised openwork leaves and scrolls, centered by four cabochon amethysts, and accented with seed pearls, the lid set with similar raised scrolls accented with two further amethysts and seed pearls, the central amethyst on a purple enameled ground, the whole on four scroll feet, lg. 4 3/4 in., approx. 10 troy oz.
