William IV Four Piece English Tea Set, London, 1834-35, Edward, Edward Jr. , John and William Barnard, makers, comprising tea and coffeepot, milk jug, and open sugar, all melon shaped, chased and embossed at waist with leaves offset with flowerheads, the ear handles topped by acanthus leaves suspending berry garlands, lids with melon finial on leafy ground, raised on four acanthus feet joined by openwork scrolls, coffeepot ht. 9 3/8 in., approx. 80 troy oz. total.
