Pewter Quart Mug, attributed to David Melville (1755-1793), Newport, Rhode Island, tapered cylindrical form with high molded fillet, S-shaped handle with raised shell design at thumb grip and boot-heel terminal, molded base, rare initial "D:M" touchmark at center of interior base, (normal wear, scattered minor pitting, dents), ht. 6 in.
