Silver Caster, America, late 18th/early 19th century, bell-shaped finial on pierced high-domed friction-fit lid, incised with six vertical panels and decorated with diamond, foliate, and crescent designs, cylindrical neck on bowl-shaped lower body, circular stepped foot, engraved "TC," spurious maker's marks, stamped "B BURT" on neck and "(? )B" stamped on underside of body, (repair to lid, a few small dents), ht. 5 1/2 in., approx. 3 1/2 troy oz.
