Federal Mahogany and Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Simon Willard, Roxbury, Massachusetts, c. 1810, the hood with pierced fretwork joining reeded plinths topped by brass urn finials above the arched cornice and glazed tombstone door opening to a polychrome and gilt decorated dial with fan spandrels, seconds hand and calendar aperture inscribed Simon Willard and brass eight-day weight-driven movement all flanked by freestanding reeded columns; the waist with molded rectangular door bordered by crossbanding flanked by reeded quarter columns, topped by cast brass Corinthian capitals, refinished, (minor restoration and imperfections), ht. 98 3/4 in.
