Chippendale Mahogany Slant-lid Desk, probably Massachusetts, c. 1780, the thumb molded lid opens to an interior of a central prospect door with inlaid patera with interior valanced drawer and concave drawer flanked by three drawers and four valanced compartments, the cockbeaded case of four graduated drawers on frontal carved claw and ball feet and rear ogee bracket feet, brasses appear to be original, refinished, (imperfections and repairs), ht. 44 1/2, wd. 40, dp. 19 1/2 in.
