Crewel Embroidered Cotton Bedspread, America, 1810, composed of embroidered geometric white cotton panels, with cotton threads in shades of rose, blue, and white, the center square with stitched "martha burton 1810" surmounting a crewelwork urn of flowers flanked by fruit and floral sprays, enclosed in a flowering vine, the other panels embellished with insects and floral sprigs, ruffled border on three sides, (minor stains), 84 x 82 in.
