Chippendale Carved Mahogany Slant-lid Desk, Massachusetts, 1750-80, the slant lid opens to an interior of valanced compartments with serpentine dividers and small drawers which flank a central fan-carved end-blocked drawer with two blocked drawers below on a case of four graduated drawers with cockbeaded surrounds above a central fan-carved drop pendant on claw and ball feet with shaped brackets, original brass, old surface, ht. 45, wd. 40 1/2, dp. 20 in.
