Chippendale Tiger Maple Slant-lid Desk, probably southeastern New England, late 18th century, the slant lid opens to an interior of a central fan-carved drawer flanked by four valanced compartments, all over five short drawers and two projecting half drawers above a case of four thumb-molded graduated drawers, all resting on bracket feet, original brasses, old mellow surface with brown stained interior, (minor imperfections), ht. 41, wd. 36 1/4, dp. 18 1/2 in.
