Chippendale Cherry Slant-lid Desk, probably Massachusetts, 1760-80, the lid opens to an interior of ten valanced compartments above a central concave blocked drawer flanked by a short drawer and two stepped drawers above a case of four thumb-molded graduated drawers, all resting on bracket feet, the brasses appear to be original, old surface with red painted interior, (imperfections), ht. 41 3/4, wd. 36, dp. 18 in.
