Federal Birch Tall Post Bed, New England, early 19th century, the slightly arched headboard flanked by ring-turned tapering hind posts joined by a chamfered rope rail and continuing to similar legs and feet; the reeded ring-turned foot posts continue to similar legs and feet and are separated by a rope roll, the side rails have been fitted with angle irons, an arched tester accompanies this lot, old refinish, (imperfections, repaired), ht. 66 (without tester), wd. 56 1/4, lg. 76 1/4 in.
