Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Two unmatched porcelain rose medallion export vases comprising of one taller vase with flared rim and applied gilt foo or fu dog handles with drop ring on sides of shoulders; and a slightly shorter vase with scalloped border, applied gilt foo or fu dog handle and gilt serpentine dragon around shoulders. Taller vase with traditional motif of courtly figures in medallions alternating with depictions of fruit, flowers and birds, butterflies and scrolling on gilt ground between cartouches. Smaller vase with peonies, prunus fruit, birds, butterflies and scrolls with similar motif. Both unmarked. Taller vase approximate height 11.4", diameter of opening at top 4.5". Shorter vase approximate height 10.125", diameter of mouth 3.5".
