Attributed to Jan Abrahamsz Beerstraten (Dutch, 1622-1666) Animated Harbor Scene Signed "I. BEER-STRAT-TEN" l.r., identified and with provenance information (see below) in letters affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 23 1/2 x 27 in. (59.7 x 68.6 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, restretched, retouched, craquelure. Provenance: From Turner Sargent to his cousins the Misses Welles, c. 1866, to their niece, Mrs. Francis W. Sargent, then by direct descent to the present owner.
