Two Children's Chairs, New England, 18th century, Chippendale cherry and birch armchair with a shaped crest rail, vasiform splat joining raked stiles and shaped arms on a trapezoid plank seat and square legs, underside signed "Susan G. York," old refinish, (imperfections), ht. 20 1/2, seat ht. 8 in.; together with a Chippendale black painted ladder-back side chair, the pierced slats centering hearts with beaded stiles above the rush seat on blocked vase and ring-turned legs joined by stretchers, ht. 23 3/4, seat ht. 8 in.
