Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table, Massachusetts, late 18th century, the rectangular top with similar drop leaves flanking straight skirts above molded tapering legs ending in casters, refinished, (repairs), ht. 28 3/4, dp. 47 3/4 in full extension, dp. 15 1/4, wd. 46 3/4 in. Provenance: According to family verbal history, this table belonged to General Benjamin Lincoln, who served in Washington's Army during the American Revolution. General Lincoln accepted the sword of Cornwallis when the British surrendered.
