Rare Revolutionary War Account Book for the Privateer Ship Chandler, c. 1779-84, sailing from Salem, Massachusetts, seventy manuscript pages, original calf, (scattered foxing and toning). Note: The account book names twenty-three different brigs, sloops, schooners and ships that were supplied during the course of the war. Most of these sailed out of Salem and are documented in The Annals of Salem , written in 1827 by Joseph Felt. Some of the ships are the Brig Addition, Ship Thomas, Brig Comet, Schooner William, Brig Rhodes, Schooner Centipede, and many others. Named individuals are George Crowninshield and Isaac White.
