Thirty Day Rosewood Shelf Clock, Atkins Clock Mfg. , Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1855-58, the case with hinged door opening to a zinc painted dial framed by an eglomise tablet above the lower mirrored door revealing an iron and brass "patent equalizing lever spring" movement, all framed by canted and molded corners, the backboard with partial maker's label, refinished, (dial repaired), ht. 17 3/4, wd. 13 1/2, dp. 4 in. Note: This thirty day wagon spring movement was invented by Joseph Ives.
