Four Assorted Early Items, England and/or America, early 19th century, a rectangular lidded sailor-made wooden trinket box with wire hinges the bottom secured with copper nails, incised decorations on the top and sides of a ship, stars, a house, and foliage, the initials and date "M. E.W.L. 1845"; a red tin matchsafe with painted ship motif; two horn beakers with incised decorations, one with a woman reading a book seated in a chair near a house and running deer, the other showing a farm with scenes of gardeners, shepherdess, and livestock, (rim chips on beakers), ht. 1 5/8-4 3/8 in.
