Continental School, 19th century. "Tavern Scene", oil on oak wood panel, unsigned. Painting depicting an interior figural scene with several jovial male figures gathered around a wooden table at a tavern, one holding up a tankard to toast the group as the others look on, the room with pottery vessels scattered throughout and with a small square window upper left. Framed approximately 17.125" x 21.125", unframed approximately 12.875" x 16.25".
