French School, 19th century. "Seated Woman in Garden", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Painting depicts a young woman in red skirt and white flowing shirt with scarf over her blonde hair as she sits barefoot in a garden with her feet on a dirt path and flowering bushes beside her, her right arm drawn up under her chin. Inscribed to verso of canvas "Aux Beaux Arts, Rue de Paradis... A Paris". Framed approximately 17.25" x 14.25", unframed approximately 12.75" x 9.75".
