Tennyson, Alfred, Lord (1809-1892), Annotated printed copy of the poem Sea Dreams. An Idyll with hand corrections, eight loose pages, with many marginal marks and notes and with extensive inscription near the end "Can't the printers manage to put this song together. It looks very awkward this divided - or at least to put the 1st stanza altogether before the eye?", 8vo, (some paper repairs to central folds on first sheet, minor spotting and edge chipping). Together with a printed copy of the poem with the corrections in place. Note: Written in 1858, this free-verse poem was inspired by the near financial ruination of Tennyson resulting from poor investment choices that also triggered health related problems.
