Roosevelt Eleanor (1884-1962)

Roosevelt, Eleanor (1884-1962), Autograph letter signed, dated May 5th, 1931, four pages, on Executive Mansion, Albany letterhead, addressed to "My dear George," regarding arrangements to meet, George's work, and offering books and goodies, 7 1/2 x 5 5/8 in. Note: Per the National Archives and Records Service, the addressee may be George D. Marvin, a writer and educator who met Franklin Delano Roosevelt while at Groton, where Marvin was a master from 1899-1902. In May, 1931, Marvin was employed as a private tutor at Powhatan Hall in Sewanee, Tennessee.
