Continental School, mid 20th century. "Italian Gypsy Maiden", oil on artists board, signed lower right "D. Gatti". Portrait painting depicting a brunette beauty at busty length with her tousled brown hair tied back atop her head with a red ribbon, her large brown eyes peering over her shoulder above a fine nose and full lips, her head cocked to the side revealing a golden drop earrring to one side complimenting a gold pendant at her throat, the figure wearing a white open necked shirt under a black sleeveless dress and red wrap around her shoulders. Framed approximately 35" x 28.5", unframed approximately 26.5" x 20".
