Watercolor on paper, showing a three masted ship with sails hanging in calm waters and flying a British flag, inscribed on the reverse "London, Oct. 1840./Large Frigate (new class) of 50 Guns, as ---non, v.c./At anchor - Sails loaded - Ensign and Pendant/Flying," with pink painted border, 5 1/2 x 8 in., unframed, Condition: glue residue on reverse, minor toning.
