Watercolor on paper, showing a ship under sail with another ship beyond, in choppy waters and land on the horizon line, inscribed on the reverse, "A Frigate (New Class) 36 Guns as the Pique--/About to tack mainsail up Ensign & Pendant," 5 3/4 x 8 1/4 in., unframed. Condition: Repaired cut, right edge, minor foxing, staining, and toning.
