Slip Decorated Redware Pottery Loaf Dish, possibly John Parker, Charlestown, Massachusetts, 18th century, coggle-rimmed rectangular dish with canted sides, embellished with yellow slip combwork decoration, (wear), 9 1/4 x 14 1/2 in. Note: A note found with the loaf dish is inscribed "...John Parker of Charlestown, a potter peddled it as far as Middleboro. He was met there by Cape merchants who sold it door to door. John Smith & Hiram Stone of Harwich were customers of John Parker."
