Federal Mahogany and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Sofa, New England, c. 1810-20, the rectangular upholstered back with paneled crest joining raked stiles and scrolled arms on reeded turned supports flanking the upholstered slip seat on turned reeded tapering frontal legs ending in brass ball feet and rear canted legs, (imperfections), ht. 35 1/2, seat ht. 16, wd. 76 in. Note: Yale family material including two silhouettes and a stereoscope is included in the lot.
