Mason, Hanley, Staffordshire, c. 1820, Chinoiserie designs executed in the Imari palette including twelve dinner plates, two pitchers and two oval dishes with flowers and a building in cobalt blue, burnt orange, and salmon decoration with gold enhancement, the pitchers with green coloring on the lion's head serpent handles, the reverse with impressed horizontal maker's mark "Mason's Patent Ironstone China," (one oval dish with a rim repair); two dinner plates and two dessert plate with vase and floral design, in cobalt blue, iron red, and salmon, the dessert plates accented in green and yellow, three with printed blue backstamp one with brown backstamp; two dinner plates with an urn of flowers, and bamboo shoots, in predominantly cobalt blue with red, green, and yellow highlights, blue printed backstamp and impressed horizontal maker's marks, ht. 6 1/4, 8 1/2, dia. 7 1/2 -11 in.
