Federal Carved Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Glazed Cupboard, possibly Bergen County, New Jersey, c. 1825-35, the molded swan's neck cresting ending in brass rosettes and centering a gilt-carved pineapple and acanthus-leaf device above a flat molded and reeded cornice and two glazed hinged doors enclosing two shaped shelves, on a projecting case of pullout tray drawer, three cockbeaded crossbanded short drawers, and two hinged cupboard doors with recessed crossbanded panels opening to shelves, with flanking reeded simulated pilasters terminating in acanthus leaves, all on carved acanthus leaf hairy paw frontal feet and square rear feet, replaced brasses, refinished, (restoration), ht. 103 1/2, wd. 48, dp. 21 1/2 in.
