Federal Mahogany and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Work Table, probably Massachusetts, c. 1810-15, the rectangular top of bird's-eye maple veneer bordered by mahogany crossbanding with ebonized ovolo corners with concentric rings centering ivory bosses, above two cockbeaded graduated bird's-eye maple drawers with embossed brass pulls and ivory escutcheons, and conformingly inlaid case joining quarter-engaged ring-turned reeded tapering legs, (imperfections), ht. 28 3/4, wd. 21 1/2, dp. 17 in.
