Attributed to Pierre Etienne Theodore Rousseau (French, 1812-1867) Sunset Landscape Initialed "Th. R" l.r., identified on labels on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 9 x 12 in. (22.8 x 30.4 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure. N.B. According to the labels on the reverse, this piece was formerly in the collection of Edward J. Holmes and was exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Sold to benefit a university art museum.
