Yorkshire-type Toby Jug and Cover, England, early 19th century, attributed to Swillington Bridge Pottery, polychrome decorated in a Pratt palette, the cover formed as a cup sponged similarly with the hat brim and along the base, modeled seated and wearing a hat with a scalloped edge, holding a toby jug in one hand and a cup in the other, a pipe resting inside one arm, the handle molded as a caryatid, impressed crown mark, ht. 10 in.
