Raeren Blue Glazed Grey Ground Stoneware Krug, Germany, circa 1604 bulbous shape with tall neck, central oval medallion with dated coat of arms, flanked on either side by a rampant lion set in a field of scrolling branches, face masks and drapery to the neck, hinged pewter lid, ht. 10 1/2 in. Note: The central arms appear to be representing the Swedish House of Vasa and probably are those of King Charles IX.
