Drexel Furniture Company (American, founded 1903). A scarce gray lacquered and chrome writing desk of streamlined modern bent form having the top surface curve down and form block legs to either side that terminate on inward facing bracket feet, the front of the desk with recessed chrome strip forming perimeter around rectangular lacquered plane above kneehole, the center of the plane being a single drawer which pulls out to reveal an incurvate wood pencil or pen holder at front, the desk being finished on all sides and having bar stretcher to lower back opening. Marked to underside of body "771-930-2" over "BY DREXEL" over "8-83" over "N P H". Approximately 30" tall, 47.875" wide, 22" deep, 23.375" height of kneehole.
