Roullet et Decamps Rabbit Violinist Automaton, with fur-covered body, glass eyes, whiskers, articulated ears, tail, carved feet and paws holding violin and bow, standing in elegant pose behind a velvet-draped brass music stand with sheet music and scrolled wirework base, the open-spring mechanism in the body playing one air and causing the rabbit to turn his head, bow with his right hand, then lift the violin and prick up his ears, on velvet-covered base, ht. 18 1/2 in., five movements, (ear movement inactive).
