Manivelle Automaton of a Cat Organ-Grinder, with green glass eyes, whiskers, and articulated mohair-covered head, mouth and paws, turning the handle of a grained paper-covered and scrapwork barrel organ while three papier-mache mice dance at his feet, on polychrome paper-covered base with hand-turned mechanism playing one air and causing the cat to nod his head, move both arms and open his mouth as though singing, while the three mice rotate in time to the music, dressed in striped satin shirt, red breeches, bow-tie, yellow silk tailcoat and matching top hat, ht. 14 1/2 in., (silk fraying on trousers), five movements.
