English, late 18th century (circa 1790). George III period (1738-1820). A mahogany and satinwood veneered Pembroke or breakfast table, the rectangular top decorated with inlaid satinwood in a rounded edged diamond shape framed by tulipwood banding, flanked by two leaves with cavetto corners with supporting sliding cyma-curved flies, top and leaves decorated at edge with satinwood banding, surmounting table apron decorated rectangular satwinwood inlay and tulipwood banding, all resting on four tapered legs with satinwood spanning from top to tip of legs, terminating in brass sabots on small brass casters. Approximate height 28.75" width 18.75" (with leaves folded), width 35" (with leaves extended), 30" depth. Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
