Closed Mouth Bisque Shoulder Head Doll, Germany, c. 1880, blue lined stationary eyes, lightly lined eyebrows, closed mouth with red line between lips, unpierced ears, defined philtrum, deep neck and full shoulderplate (bisque has drag, some roughness to finish), blonde mohair wig, cloth body, bisque lower arms, fine old white cotton undergarments, nicely tailored and well-detailed two-piece dress of maroon silk faille with velvet ribbon trim, garnet bead buttons, old straw hat with matching ribbon and feather trim, high brown leather boots with keystone 2 mark, ht. 15 in.
