Oil Painted Cloth Izannah Walker Doll, Rhode Island, c. 1860, painted features, brown eyes, pink mouth and cheek coloring, brown hair, two long curls in front of applied ears, wisps of curls at nape of neck (light touch-up at nose and under eye, and left ear, overall fine craquelure), classic deep sloping shoulders, cloth body, oil painted hands, black painted laced boots, fine white cotton undergarments, original fine brown gingham dress with band of matching trim on sleeves and lower skirt, printed brown and white apron, with a second outfit, also original to the doll, a lavender and mulberry pillar print lawn dress in the same off-the-shoulder style, and a large brimmed natural straw hat, ht. 15 3/4 in. Note: left ear has been touched up; extra dress is also of the period and original to the doll.
