Brown SH 1009 Bisque Head Doll, Germany, late 19th century, brown glass stationary eyes, open mouth, cut-in upper teeth, pierced ears, marked 1009 4 1/2 at crown, original brown mohair wig (substantially gone), fully articulated composition and wood Sonneberg-type body (unstrung), red and white striped cotton dress, white cotton cap, celluloid glasses (broken, overall soil), ht. 13 in. Provenance: Note with doll reads "Aunt Florence Gridley's colored doll."
