Early Jules Steiner Clockwork Waltzing Automaton Doll, with pressed bisque swivel head, open mouth with two rows of teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid-covered upper arms and bisque lower arms, cone-shaped wheeled carton base forming the skirt, the going-barrel movement causing the figure to walk forwards, raise her arms and cry "mamma", in the original two-piece walking outfit with long fitted jacket, trimmed with ruched pink silk and bows, ht. 15 in., (costume fragile).
