Automaton of a Turkish Smoker by Farkass, with composition head, painted eyes and beard, sitting with feather fan in one hand and agizlik mouthpiece connected to a hookah pipe in the other, sitting cross-legged on velvet-covered base containing two-air cylinder movement causing the smoker to turn his head from side to side, raise the mouthpiece to inhale, the smoke drawn from the hookah by bellows, through the figure's body and exhaled through his mouth as he fans himself, in original cream silk faille harem pants, yellow brocade jacket, turban and upturned slippers, ht. 13 in., illustrated p. 83.
