Kestner Doll, resembling, and probably modeled after, the bebes of French maker Alexandre Thullier, impressed 13 , with open / closed mouth showing characteristinc slight smile, hint of tongue and accented lips, weighted brown glass eyes (now fixed), shapely double chin, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, deeply-cut shoulder plate with leather neck insert, cloth body and kid lower arms with individually-stitched fingers, in doll's cotton christening robe, undergarments, and cream wool and peach silk bonnet, ht. 15 in., (two small chips insider upper corner of right eye rim, minute rub on tip of nose, rub on left eyebrow, few minor wig pulls, shrinkage line at joint of left ear).
