Tufts (Boston, founded 1875) figural napkin rings of matching form depicting a man in cap, jacket and trousers carrying a large barrel over hunched back, each marked on bottom with "JAMES W. TUFTS BOSTON WARRANTED TRIPLE PLATE"; a Hartford Silver Plate Co. quadruple plate napkin ring with bearded man in wide brimmed hat, marked on bottom; and a figurine depicting a wingless nude putti or cherub with draped modesty cloth holding a whip and riding on a large tortoise with rope form harness in mouth, unmarked. James Tufts napkin rings approximate height 4.5", diameter of circular base 2.6". Hartford Silver Plate Co. napkin ring approximate height 3.25", width 2.75", depth 1.5".
