Katherine Page Porter (American, b. 1941) Untitled - New Mexico #23 Signed "K. Porter" l.r., dedicated "For Phyllis & Ted" l.l., a label from the Newpor Harbor Art Museum, Newport Beach, California, and an exhibition label identifying the work from The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (see below) affixed to the reverse. Mixed media with pencil, pastel, and watercolor on paper, sheet size 25 x 19 1/2 in. (63.5 x 49.5 cm), framed. Condition: Broad rippling, subtle toning, pinholes, not examined out of frame. Provenance: A private collection in Boston and Rhode Island. Exhibition: Katherine Porter: Works on Paper 1969-1979 , The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, February 29-April 6, 1980. No apparent inpainting. Tack holes to four corners. Deckled edges. Not examined out of the frame, but appears to be mounted at the corners to linen-covered backing.
