Lucien Whiting Powell (American, 1846-1930) The Campanile and San Marco, Venice Signed "Lucien W Powell" l. r. Oil on canvas, 30 x 25 1/4 in. (76.2 x 64.2 cm), framed (under glass). Condition: Surface grime, craquelure. Although the work has not been removed from its frame there is some retouch. One large area of retouch in the u.l. corner and scattered smaller areas throughout. The craquelure appears stable. The work would probably benefit from a gentle cleaning.
