George Henry Hall (American, 1825-1913) Roses in a Vase Signed, dated, and inscribed "G Hall 61, Seville" l. r., a label from Tilden-Thurber, Providence, affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 11 x 9 1/4 in. (27.9 x 23.5 cm), framed. Condition: Minor retouch, light abrasions, craquelure with lifting, minute scattered losses, surface grime. The craquelure is stable except for some cupping to the area of the red flower. There are several small strokes of retouch. The painting would benefit from cleaning.
