Paul Weber (German/American, 1823-1916) Landscape with Covered Wagon Signed and dated "Paul Weber 1860" l. r. Oil on canvas, 14 x 20 in. (35.6 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Patch reinforcements, retouch, craquelure, surface grime. There is a 1 inch patch to the trees on the right, a 3 inch patch to the sky u.c., and a 2 inch patch to the sky at the corner u.l. Each of these areas has a broader area of retouch. There are additional minor dots and dashes of retouch. The craquelure is stable, and the painting might benefit from cleaning.
